Our Process
First Enquirey
Every keepsake begins with a conversation.
When you get in touch, I'll take the time to understand exactly what you're looking for and answer any questions you may have. One of the first things I'll ask is whether your enquiry is for a live pet or a pet that has sadly passed away, as this helps me guide you through the next steps.
Memorial Keepsakes
If your beloved pet has passed away, timing is important. To achieve the best possible level of detail, I recommend taking casts within 48 hours.
If your pet is being cared for by Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematorium in Great Yarmouth, I can arrange to visit them directly and create your pet's cast before cremation, making the process as straightforward as possible for you during such a difficult time.
If you've chosen a different crematorium or are planning a home burial, I'll arrange to visit you at a mutually convenient time to create the cast in the comfort of your own home.
Live Pet Casts
For live pets, we'll arrange a convenient appointment at a time that suits both you and your pet. I'll explain what to expect during the appointment and answer any questions beforehand, so you can feel completely at ease

The Casting Session
When the day of your appointment arrives, my priority is ensuring both you and your pet feel relaxed and comfortable.
For live pets, I carry out the casting process in the familiar surroundings of your home whenever possible. This helps your pet feel at ease and allows the experience to be as calm and stress-free as possible.
The casting materials I use are completely pet-safe and skin-safe. The process is gentle, painless and usually takes just a few minutes for each cast. Every pet is different, so I always work patiently and at their pace, allowing plenty of time if they need reassurance or a short break.
For memorial casts, I treat every pet with the utmost dignity, care and respect. I understand how precious these final moments are, and I take great care to create the most detailed and meaningful impression possible.
Throughout every appointment, I'll guide you through the process, answer any questions you have and ensure you feel comfortable from beginning to end.
No two pets are ever the same, and I never rush the process. Every appointment is tailored to your pet's individual personality and needs.

Receiving Your Keepsake
Once your keepsake has been carefully handcrafted and finished, I'll contact you to let you know it's ready. As each piece is individually made by hand, completion typically takes 6–10 weeks, depending on your chosen finish and presentation options.
If your casting was arranged through Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematorium, your finished keepsake will be returned to them for collection as part of their service.
If you booked directly with Cast'a'Pet, I'll arrange the most convenient way for you to receive your keepsake. For local customers, I'm happy to deliver personally where possible, or you're very welcome to collect from me by prior arrangement.
Every keepsake is carefully prepared before it leaves my hands, and I hope receiving it brings comfort and a lasting reminder of the special bond you shared with your pet.

Hand Finishing Your Keepsake
Once your pet's paw or nose print has been carefully captured, your keepsake is individually handcrafted using your chosen finish.
Whether you've selected a traditional stone cast, an elegant cold metal finish or a beautiful glass design, every piece is carefully hand-finished with patience and attention to detail.
Each keepsake is then sealed with a protective top coat to help preserve its appearance and ensure it can be treasured for years to come.
Once your casting session is complete, you'll have the opportunity to choose how you'd like your finished keepsake to be presented. From a selection of frames, display stands and wall plaques, you can decide on the style that best suits your home and creates the perfect tribute to your pet.
When your keepsake has been carefully finished and assembled, I'll contact you to arrange collection or delivery. I can't wait for you to see the finished result.
"Whether your keepsake celebrates a lifetime of happy memories or honours a much-loved companion, every cast is created with the same care, patience and respect that your pet deserves."

Booking Your Appointment
Once we've discussed your requirements, we'll arrange a date and time that's convenient for you.
For live pet casts, appointments are carried out at your home, where your pet feels most comfortable and relaxed. I'll explain everything beforehand, answer any questions you may have, and make sure you know exactly what to expect.
For memorial keepsakes, I understand this is an emotional time. I'll work with you to make the process as simple and stress-free as possible, whether I'm visiting your home or creating your pet's cast at Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematorium in Great Yarmouth.
If you have any special requests or concerns, please let me know when booking your appointment. Every pet is unique, and I'm always happy to tailor the experience to meet their individual needs.
From the moment you book, I'll be with you every step of the way, ensuring both you and your pet feel comfortable, informed and cared for throughout the experience.
